Professor Ross Guberman Presents: Strategies for Opinion Writing & Advanced Legal Editing for the Judiciary

This program has been funded through a grant from the Florida Court Personnel Foundation.  This program is designed to educate appellate law clerks and judges along with circiuit court judges, county court judges, and staff attorneys.

This program will be prsented by Prof. Ross Guberman.  He is the founder and president of Legal Writing Pro, an advanced legal-writing training and consulting firm.  Prof. Guberman is also a Professional Lecturer in Law at The George Washington University Law School. He has presented at a number of judicial education conferences in Florida.

Prof. Guberman will address topics such as drafting introductions and fact sections for opinions.  He will also discuss how to take an objective approach to editing.  CLE and CJE credit will be sought for this presentation.

Lunch will be ordered from Catalina Cafe (www.catalinacafe.com) and available on a pre-order basis ONLY.  You may pay for lunch when you check in for the presentation.  Each sandwich will come with a side of fruit salad, a cookie, and a bottle of water.  The cost is $10.  Cash preferred, checks made payable to Lori. S. Rowe acceptable.

If you are traveling for this program, please be aware that you need to seek approval from your court for reimbursment of travel costs.  Legislators will be in town for committee meetings prior to the 2019 Legislative Session, so please make any necessary hotel reservations as soon as possible.
